Just living my life.

Hey guys! Sorry for the long break. I just couldn't bring myself to write anything. Right now, I'm sitting in a hostel, watching some silly horror movie with all my roommates. We're like one big family! We've all sprawled out on the sofas watching it. Nationalities? You name it! A couple from Poland, a Brazilian, a South African, a German, an Englishman, a Spaniard, and me, a Russian. It's all pretty funny, don't you think? Yesterday, I was cooking goulash in the shared kitchen, and a German, a Spaniard, and a South African were cooking there with me. It's so much fun talking to them; it's like talking to people from another planet! And imagine my feelings when suddenly, in a kitchen in South Africa, I heard the song "Dark Eyes" being performed by a Spaniard! Amazing! Then everyone got interested, I showed them the lyrics, and everyone decided to learn it. So, I'm promoting Russian culture, my friends! Now, a little about the English language. Once again, I'm convinced that knowing a foreign language is a miracle! I suddenly understand people who are completely unlike me or anyone I know. English unites us; I love this language! Of course, I realized that my upper-intermediate level consists mainly of knowing grammar and various nuances, rather than speaking. But that's okay, I think I'll catch up. Learn languages, my friends, learn them! That's my advice to you. And by the way, in South Africa, EVERYONE knows English. It's an official language. There are a million other languages here. As many tribes as there are, there are that many languages. BUT, everyone still knows English. Even the minibus drivers who came from Kenya!
