Navigating Jamaica Bay access determines your daily commute when stationed around Queens terminals for long assignments.

John F. Kennedy International Airport functions as the preeminent long-haul flight gateway across Queens.

New York International Airport opened on marshland alongside Jamaica Bay after replacing a recreational golf course. The site relieved commercial traffic overflow from older regional airfields. Long-term personnel operate around a massive layout originally assembled under municipal ownership before regional port authority leasing took hold.

Global carriers link regional terminals to populated continents without mandatory domestic stopovers. Operating around this expansive airfield requires managing multi-terminal transport systems, extensive taxiway corridors, and fluctuating regional transit links across the southwestern reaches of Long Island throughout seasonal shifts.

Irkutsk-Moscow-Paris-NYC

Sadness, tears, the fear of those seeing you off. I'm a little scared myself, but the fear fades and turns into a meaningless word when you imagine what awaits you... And what awaits? The unknown, a journey, a new life. How we love to start all over again. And starting over in America, where people have been going for centuries to start fresh, the beginning seems to be painted in the brightest colors. Irkutsk. A good city, I'm sure! But, as sad as it may sound, the place of our permanent residence, the place associated with our everyday problems and worries, sooner or later becomes a gray, banal, and uninspiring space. For me, Irkutsk is a symbol of mundane life, so I left this life with joy... The first, very small portion of joy was provided by S7 Airlines. The stunning color of the plane, delicious food, and a "gentle" pilot (he really did take off and land gently =)))) gave the first plus to this trip. The first grain of luck was provided by fate already in Moscow. We were met by a very good person who didn't leave us in trouble, i.e., in Moscow. =) Moscow... It's hard to count how many millions of people have lived in this city, but it's obvious that very different millions have lived there. The capital seemed far from unambiguous to me... The heart of Moscow is undoubtedly beautiful, but it has become overgrown with gray and nondescript houses, which, just as undoubtedly, take away a share of its charm. But my thoughts had long been abroad, so I didn't manage to have a coherent dialogue with this space. Let's hurry to Sheremetyevo 2! It's extremely strange, but there were no delays! #advice #1 I noticed a strange peculiarity... When I flew the Irkutsk-Moscow-Paris route, absolutely all the luggage was wrapped. It's obvious that people are afraid for the safety of their belongings, and that's normal. But when I was flying out of NY, I didn't notice any wrapped luggage, except for ours... It's obvious that people weren't afraid for the safety of their luggage! Perhaps this is explained by the fact that we only flew 40 minutes to Boston, but still... the things were loaded and unloaded after all. Actually, here is the advice: definitely pack your things when you fly with a Russian airline (because this is the unanimous opinion of all Russian passengers) and when you have many transfers. =) __ Yes, I was in Paris. But one hour at Charles de Gaulle Airport is very little! =( Quickly took a photo of the frogs and onwards to NY! JFK (John F. Kennedy International Airport) didn't seem that huge the first time. Only a suspicion of it appeared, because we were "parking" for about 40 minutes =)) Another grain of luck! We were met in NY by a person the likes of whom I am unlikely to meet again... Three days in NY... We did what crazy tourists do who have a few miserable hours to see the whole city, and they rake, absorb, turn their heads, take pictures, and that's it... And emptiness. A huge amount of information and pictures will ultimately leave no real emotions or experiences in your head. The first meeting with the ocean, but no... Something is wrong! It gloomily pushes us away with its cold... I want to leave for Miami faster... Let's go to the bus.

Travel brings knowledge.

It was a period when a huge number of students were flying out. We were among them; on June 2nd, nearly 70 of us were departing. Everyone was very excited and tried to get to know each other quickly, realizing we would only spend two days in New York, yet everyone stuck together despite barely knowing one another. The mood was very positive, as some of us were flying for the first time toward independent life—even if just for a short while, it was a huge experience for them. Some were saying goodbye to family, there were many friends seeing us off, shouting well wishes for a great summer, and others were saying goodbye to their significant others. But after passing through customs, everyone felt a bit lonely for a moment, lost in thought, maybe even a little sad—perhaps starting to wonder what awaited them this summer?! But that passed quickly... Then the "selfie" phase began, photographing boarding passes, passports, and finally Instagram; that’s how our 40 minutes until boarding passed... We flew with Lufthansa, and what can I say, we liked it))) We didn't have time to get bored; there were movies, music, and a library the whole way. Students don't sleep on the plane, especially when flying to the USA. Everyone is discussing something; it's interesting to meet groupmates who didn't know all year that they were also program participants. It's good they met at the airport on the way to the USA; there were even cases where people met for the first time only on the return flight. And they were so surprised! Transfer in Frankfurt. The transfer was very convenient; we waited for only about 2 hours, quickly went through registration, spent half an hour in the waiting area, and then we were back on the plane, though not as active anymore—everyone wanted to sleep... When they announced we were approaching New York, we were fed one last time and asked to raise our seats and fasten our seatbelts. You could see the feeling of anticipation for something incredible on everyone's faces; everyone was so alert, so excited! The plane made a very soft landing, we taxied to the terminal for a long time, and slowly everyone started grabbing their carry-on luggage and moving toward the exit. John F. Kennedy International Airport is the largest international airport in the USA, located in the Queens borough in the southeastern part of New York City, 20 km southeast of Lower Manhattan. Can you imagine the traffic at the airport when everyone is waiting for permission to land or take off because there is simply no space, and an "airplane traffic jam" has formed? There were so many people at the airport, so many that it took us almost 3 hours to get through customs. Tip: If you brought fruit with you, please make sure to declare it on your customs declaration. Otherwise, you may be fined or detained until circumstances are clarified. This also applies to other products. After passing the check and collecting our luggage, we all gathered at the exit. A cool bus with a guide arrived and took us to the Hotel Pennsylvania. On the way, the guide told us about everything we saw on the road, about shops, groceries, car rentals, and even inexpensive restaurants and shopping. Hotel Pennsylvania, the location of this hotel is simply fantastic. Pennsylvania is in Manhattan, across the street from the Madison Square Garden sports complex, and was one of the most frequently booked in New York City! Times Square and the Museum of Modern Art are less than a 15-minute subway ride from the Penn Hotel. The hotel is also one block from the Macy's department store and 2 blocks from the Empire State Building. Midtown is a great choice if you are interested in landmarks, shopping, and museums. At the hotel, a girl was waiting for us at a separate reception desk with an "INTEREXCHANGE" sign. She quickly collected our passports and, calling everyone one by one, handed out room keys. She reacted very quickly to requests to change rooms and helped in every way she could. Even
