À propos du lieu

Perched on Tibidabo ridge, the hybrid mast defines the mountain skyline above Barcelona.

Norman Foster joined civil engineers Julio Martínez Calzón and Manuel Julià Vilardell to design the structure for the Summer Olympic Games. Built by the construction firm Cubiertas y MZOV on the Tibidabo summit, the installation merges a slender central column with lateral guy wires to withstand mountain wind loads across the Serra de Collserola.
