À propos du lieu

Dakota's central sports ground hosts national football tournaments and track events under international athletic standards.

The arena stands in the Dakota district as the primary venue for national football and athletic competition. Originally opened under the name of Queen Wilhelmina following her abdication, the complex hosted inaugural exhibition games, school calisthenics displays, and oath ceremonies for Olympic athletes from the territory.

Decades of deferred maintenance eventually prompted international sports authorities to declare the pitch unsuitable for official tournaments. Extensive modernization programs resolved these issues by adding specialized synthetic turf, renewed running tracks, team changing areas, grandstand roofing, and updated floodlights.
