The Cathedral of Evangelismos represents the ecclesiastical see of the Patriarchate of Alexandria and All Africa.

Also recorded as the Cathedral of the Annunciation and the Holy Cathedral Church of the Annunciation of the Theotokos, the building functions as the ecclesiastical see of the Patriarchate of Alexandria and All Africa. The structure adopts the plan of a trilateral basilica. Architectural analysis by Donald M. Reid classifies the exterior in a neo-Gothic rather than neo-Byzantine style, distinguishing it from traditional regional churches.
