Über den Ort

Open ground and cantilevered benches mark the site where flight and defense casualties are remembered.

The outdoor memorial stands southwest of the main headquarters building, across the river from the federal district. It honors the victims who died inside the defense complex and aboard the hijacked airliner during the terrorist attack. Visitors navigate an open landscaped layout arranged to commemorate each individual casualty.

Daily life around the installation differs sharply from civilian parks across the capital. Strict perimeter rules govern photography and movement near the military facility.
