Let's get acquainted? My name is Alua, I am only 19 years old, for such a short but fascinating life, for the first time I am taking such an unexplored step into a country unknown to me. I am the eldest child in the family, maybe with this sentence I will be able to describe my decision that has been considered for months. To be more precise, I was such a responsible, restrained and calm child, and I have remained so. I think this influenced this outcome of events. I caught fire with the goal instantly, but I made a firm and steady step towards the dream relatively recently, which I am very grateful to myself and my parents. Summer in Kazakhstan goes according to one scenario — fun, but unproductive no matter how hard you try. It seems to me that Work and travel is a mandatory part of student life and a huge opportunity that should not be missed. This is an invaluable experience that you can't get anywhere else. Probably every young person wants to work abroad, because it gives so many opportunities. Firstly, you can learn a foreign language, and up to a very good level. Secondly, there is an opportunity to learn the customs and traditions of the country, just to see how the local people live. Thirdly, during work, new great friends from all over the world are usually made, you can have fun in pleasant company. And finally, this is a great opportunity to earn decent money that will allow you to fully or partially solve your teenage financial problems. So, as you can see, there are a lot of advantages of working abroad. And most importantly, this time, in the future, according to the stories of those who have worked abroad, is remembered as one of the best in life. I learned about this student exchange program from my cousin, who a few years ago, in her student years, just like I am now, dreamed of such an opportunity, which, despite all the difficulties encountered, was able to snatch her jackpot and was able to visit the country of fulfillment of her desires. The advantages of this program are that the student is given several months to work, and then he will be able to travel around the country for up to a month. Isn't this happiness? “Travelling – it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller.” – Ibn Battuta. I have a great desire to explore life through traveling and learning new things. It excites me when I visit new places, learn about different cultures and see how other people live a life different from mine. I just love traveling because it helps me understand that the world is so beautiful, that there is so much to admire and cherish. It's also the feeling you get when you explore new ideas, stories, beliefs, and scenarios. This not only expands your knowledge, but also helps you overcome the challenges you face. I experience life's challenges and pleasures, and I get out of my personal bubble to become a better person by exploring new cultures. Traveling is my passion because it's something I won't be afraid to pursue. A person learns more and more about himself, and every time he travels, he expands his horizons. Travelling helps us to know more about different lifestyles, cultures, cuisines and festivals. Visiting new sights and exploring new places increases our knowledge and widens our global perspective. We get to learn so many things about different cultures and customs. It makes us open minded and gives us a new viewpoint about life and it also changes some of our bad habits. Our vision enlarges as we travel and we start thinking out of the box. USA. It is faraway country, on the other side of the world. It is country of contrasts and great opportunities. There are a number of time zones and two oceans, the Pacific and the Atlantic, between us. And what attracts me to it? The US is state with rich cultural heritage and fascinating history. It has passed a long way of formation and has earned respect from other countries. America gave the world a lot of great people, such as Abraham Lincoln, Jame

Story 3: About tearful cream, mooing, and other secrets of career growth There is nothing harder than returning to Russia and getting back to your usual routine after spending 3 and a half months making ice cream on the ocean shore. Let's be honest, my brain atrophied a little during that wonderful time. But on the bright side, I've become a real homemaker and can now promote my culinary creations on Instagram with hashtags like #moretocome, #cakesonorderchelyabinsk, and all that. And if you come over to visit, I might treat you to waffle cookies, brownies, and 50s-style milkshakes. A mediocre evening, I agree. But you have to put your skills to use somewhere. Chap.1 It’s a small world Life hack: for most Americans, there is Moscow and then the rest of Russia, so if you aren't from the capital, but, for example, from Chelyabinsk, the best answer to the question: “Where do you live in Russia?” is the phrase: “Close to Siberia.” In principle, it works for any city. And so, at the very beginning of my career as an “ice-cream lady,” Dan, my boss, asked me that very question. I said: – Not far from Siberia. – Aaa, we adopted kids from there… A city like… What was it… Nizhny Tagil… Four of them. In '93. From Tagil. Surprise. That’s how I found my “almost fellow countrymen”: Mike and Nick (Sergey and Stepan in the distant past). It’s just a pity that a conversation in Russian never happened. Chap.2 Live and learn In short, I had no one to speak my native language with there. I had to adapt to the team. Life hack: even if you know what LOL means, how Present Perfect is formed, and have heard a thing or two about irregular verbs… It won't help you.)) Just kidding. I really had to learn a lot. For some reason, in school, I never wrote down “ladle,” “walnut,” the translation of “replenish,” “sample,” “grasshopper,” or the meaning of the phrase “take care” in my English vocabulary notebook. God bless Dan for his patience!!! Just… - When a customer asks for a “Lid,” and you, like a one-year-old child, ask: “What is that?” - When a pyramid of whipped cream falls in a massive blob onto the marble floor - When you write “whipped cream” as “weeped cream” - When you need to make a “Cow” milkshake and instead of “cow” you say “coo”… Naturally, no one understands you… And you moo “Mooooooo” across the whole shop I would have fired myself. Deported myself and banned my re-entry. Chap3. Love people Working with people is interesting, of course, but there are always some, to put it mildly, peculiar ones among them. Story about my “favorite.” Customer. In short: - First, for some reason, he gave me the book “How to Marry for Money” (“Olga is just doing the wrong thing,” he thought). - Then he decided to draw an ice cream cone and bring his masterpiece as a gift to our establishment. - They took a photo of me with it. - Result: photo in the newspaper. This is it – fame!!! #usatoday #tobecontinued

Why should I win a grant for free participation? A list of questions to which you will find an answer: Youth travel and student exchange programs - what I know about them. My experience is a small interesting/funny episode related to youth travel and/or exchange programs. Why I decided to participate in the program. What I hope to learn and achieve by getting acquainted with a new society and culture for me and talking about the culture of my country. How participation in the program will help me in my future career. What can be improved in programs - if I was responsible for exchanges, what would I change. What will be the exchange programs in twenty years? Fifty years from now? My name is Oshakbayeva Nargiz. I am 18 years old, currently I live in Almaty. I am currently a 2nd year student at Narkhoz University, where I have spent a lot of time and effort studying and selling in the same spirit that reflect my preferences and interests. I am happy to be a very active and sociable person, always ready for something new. I understand that these actions will allow me to change the situation for the better and acquire the leadership qualities necessary to achieve my goals. Currently, my goals are to visit other countries, get to know their culture, and improve my English. After all, English is also a world language that is required everywhere, even in my profession. And my choice fell on the Work and Travel program. Having studied various organizations for WORK and travel in Kazakhstan, I realized that it is the organization of the Central Research Center that can offer me the tremendous opportunities that I need to achieve everything I want. I would also like to introduce people from other countries to the wonderful culture of our people of Kazakhstan. In the end, the history of the people is worth something, and our national clothes. It is with CMO that I will be able to realize myself both professionally and in a personal context. The level of specialization here is quite high, the training methods when applying for a visa are mainly focused on practical knowledge, which, I think, is almost useful when it comes to real work and makes it easy to navigate in all possible situations. Thanks to this, I can easily put it into practice. Why do I want to travel? Where does such a desire to see the world come from? My desire was born in early childhood when I watched the program "Heads and Tails". In this program, they showed how it is possible to be able to travel with different amounts. I was looking forward to each episode with such enthusiasm, I wanted to learn more about other countries, see their traditions and culture. When I was little, I was already looking for different ways to visit other countries, what to do, who I should work with, how I should prepare for different situations. In the end, I don't know anything, but my desire to see the world was even greater. It seemed to me that it was something impossible and so inaccessible. Every day my faith and hope became stronger and stronger, and at this moment I know that I can and will be the USA. I will see the metropolis of New York, which is very long-awaited for me. I will see all the colorfulness of this city, as well as how I will work. Having saved up money, I will be able to see other states. What I once thought was a dream, after what time it will become a reality. My experience is a small interesting/funny episode related to youth travel and/or exchange programs. At the moment I was in Turkey and Russia. I won a trip to these countries thanks to my good academic performance.I especially remember Turkey. It is a very beautiful city with a rich history and culture. I will say that it is impossible to fall in love. I am a person who has seen enough Turkish TV series, and it has always been interesting for me to watch them live. Very hospitable people. And nature is worth something. I am an adventurer and a very curious person. When the group and I went to see the city,
Juraev Mullohoji The student of 1st course economic Faculty of the Khujand state university Name of academician B.Gafurova . Undoubtedly America is the developed country of the world, but Tajikistan should be one of the most attractive countries of the world in future. I wish to begin the compositions with the description of Soviet times. I sit much and I talk to people of the old generation, and they compare much and argue on how there was a life in the Soviet Union and what it became now. And when I said to them that I wish to go to the USA under program Work and Travel, they willingly recollected how they spent the vacation in student's building groups, and it gave the chance to them to go in other cities of the former Soviet Union. It certainly gave them the chance to study culture, traditions, and customs of other people. But it is necessary to tell, that they had rare possibilities and the moments to go out of Soviet Union. The Center of the International exchange was created in Soviet time, In 1989. I think, the program has opened different world for young generation. It is the program for those who thirst to expand their outlook. This program gives the chance to meet western culture, especially American, with which we are familiar on films, under stories of others. But it gives us possibility of personal meeting with people, dialogue, and work with them. Undoubtedly America is the developed country of the world. However what is secret of its success? May be they have more favorable nature? May be it depends of nature of people who live there? And there can be a secret of their prosperity in their aspiration to freedom when each person has possibility to realize? These and other questions always excited me, and I consider, that if I would get to America I would try to answer to these questions by all means. However my dream does not consist in remaining there, by no means. But I know, already today, that I wish to be the diplomat. Whom I would not become, I wish to see my country developed, attractive as America. All is learnt in comparison. Tajikistan became recently, the Independent country. It is necessary to make much that it became independent in literal sense of this word, has got economic, power and food independence. On what the future of Tajikistan depends? It is better to tell from whom the future of Tajikistan depends? Definitely I can tell from youth. How it should be youth? The youth should have the purpose before him/her The youth should aspire to knowledge. Youth should love the native land. But he/she also should be opened for perception of values of other cultures, to study experience of other countries, and to be able to apply this experience in the homeland. Only in this way each one can bring the mite in development of the country. Everyone think of the future, wishes to get good education. When I have learnt for the first time about this program, I have understood that it was for me. It became a surprise for me. Because I wished to continue the study abroad. This program could help to carry out to me my dream. I will have possibility to meet my contemporaries from the different countries, Eastern and Western, with their culture, psychology, with their attitude to a life and many other things. Many foreigners have no idea about Tajikistan, and as I am Tajik I could tell them about our culture, our traditions and customs. I wished to become the diplomat and as the future diplomat should find with all common language. For the diplomat it is necessary to know languages, history of the people and to possess leader’s skills and the main thing to form in him ability to understand others, and for this purpose it is necessary to study others. I am assured that program Work and Travel can become a starting stage for my Education and the future Career. And How I see 2009 for the International an exchange centre. I think that activity of this program has been most of all connected with sending youth to America
