Über den Ort

Deeper Christian Life Ministry expanded from an academic study group into an expansive Pentecostal denomination rooted in personal discipline.

The denomination traces its roots to an informal scripture circle formed by university mathematics lecturer William Folorunso Kumuyi. Following his expulsion from an established apostolic church for preaching without official credentials, Kumuyi maintained an independent ministry that evolved into the Deeper Life Bible Church. Congregants adhere to conservative Pentecostal practices and intensive scripture study sessions.

Administrative oversight remains centered at the national headquarters in Lagos under Kumuyi, yet local assemblies across Abuja maintain uniform liturgy and pastoral discipline. The movement has expanded internationally across multiple continents, affiliating with broad evangelical fellowships while enforcing strict moral codes. Newcomers face rigorous attendance expectations, lengthy services, and tight community supervision.
